Due to the risks of Covid-19 transmission we are limited to the care that we can provide at the Deveron Dental Centre. We are only able to provide emergency care on the NHS at the moment.
What does this mean for our patients who have dental issues?
✅ We will still be answering calls Monday to Friday to offer advice and a possible appointment depending on your situation.
✅ Your call will be dealt with by one of Deveron Dental’s qualified dental professionals who can give you telephone advice.
✅ Our dental nurses can then arrange an appointment at the practice if you are suitable. We may not be able to carry out the treatment that we would like to as we are limited to what procedures we can do.
We have a responsibility not to overload the NHS system with Covid-19. Many people may feel well but can transmit the infection to others who are more vulnerable.
It is therefore crucial that at this stage onward referral is ONLY made for SEVERE dental emergencies.
What can’t we do at the moment?
❌ Book ANY routine appointments for ANYONE to be seen at the Deveron Dental Centre
❌ No routine dental treatment can be carried out anywhere in Scotland – eg lost crowns, lost dentures, exams, scale and polishes, fillings
We expect these measures to be in place for at least three weeks but there is a strong possibility these measures will remain in place for longer than this.
We will keep you updated as often as we can.
We are as frustrated as you are at being unable to help to fix your dental problems. But please remember that the reason we are doing this is to save lives, as this is more important than saving teeth (although when we are back to normal, I can assure you we will be saving as many teeth as we can!)
Remember the more everyone limits contact with others, the more lives are saved.
As the proud owner of the Deveron Dental Centre, the tears have been flowing this week with many things – worries about my business, my staff, my patients and our future. However, the only thing that matters just now is keeping our loved ones safe and well ♥️
I promise you all that when we are up and running again, we will be working as hard as we can to catch up and to look after all of your dental needs.
♦️ We are in the process of cancelling all appointments 4 weeks ahead on a rolling basis.
♦️ Please do not call to cancel or to check appointments. We will contact you.
♦️ Please keep the lines free for those who need us and only call if you have toothache or a broken filling.
♦️ It would help us greatly if you can send us a quick reply to confirm you’ve read and received our cancellation email. I am personally reading every single response you send, and your words mean so much at this very difficult and emotional time.
♦️ We are not in a position to offer alternative appointments at present as we have no idea when we will be allowed to return to work. We are placing names on a contact list and when we are in a position to rebook the appointments, we will contact you via email with a link to our online booking system.
Priority will be given to patients requiring treatment.
Stay safe, stay well & stay at home
