Vivera retainers are virtually invisible. They’re much stronger than the usual style of retainers (Essix retainers) and because they’re thinner, they’re also much comfier to wear, and way less noticeable!

We recommend that our patients wear their retainers full time for the first 7 months, and then night time for the rest of their lives. We know that many orthodontists recommend only wearing the retainers for a year, but we recommend that you wear them every night to make sure your beautiful new smile stays lovely and straight!

An average lifespan of a retainer is around 12-18 months. In time, the plastic distorts, thanks to the heat of your mouth, and so your retainers need to be replaced regularly, to ensure they still fit snugly, locking your teeth in position.
