What is invisalign?
Invisalign is the virtually invisible way to straighten your teeth and achieve the smile you’ve always dreamed of. Using advanced 3D computer-imaging technology, Invisalign generates a bespoke treatment plan based on your photographs and models, and then creates a series of almost invisible, removable clear aligners are custom made for your mouth. Each clear aligner is worn for one week before being replaced by the next one in the series, gradually moving towards the projected final position, giving you the beautiful straight smile you always dreamed of!
How does Invisalign work?
A FREE CONSULTATION will be carried out by Morven, who is our registered Platinum Invisalign Provider, to ensure you are suitable for treatment. At this appointment, we take an itero scan of your teeth, where we can show you what your teeth could potentially look like after Invisalign! We also take a full head and neck OPT xray and Morven will explain how Invisalign could transform your smile. This is also a good opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the treatment process.
Your itero scan will then be sent to America, where your bespoke clear Invisalign Aligners are created. You will be given a series of clear, removable aligners to wear which gently guide your teeth in to the projected final postition. Each aligner is worn for 1-2 weeks and you will visit us once a month to check on your progress. We are able to monitor your progress from home through our virtual care app. We may need to polish in between your teeth to help them glide into position. Treatment with Invisalign takes anything from around 4-18 months, but most of our patients are finished within 8 months.
After treatment, we provide you with a set of 3 Vivera retainers to hold your teeth in position, to ensure you keep your perfect smile.

What are the aligners made of?
They are made of a thermoplastic material that allow them to fit perfectly onto your teeth
How often do I need to see the dentist?
You would see Morven every 4-6 weeks to receive your new retainers and make sure the treatment is going according to plan.
How long does it take?
It can last between 9 and 18 months depending on each individual. At your consultation with Morven she will discuss this with you.
It is painful?
You might find when you get a new set of retainers that you experience a bit of discomfort as your teeth move but should only last a couple of days.

4 steps to your new smile.
Step 1
We will take you through the Case Assessment,
which is a simple set of photos to determine whether
you are suitable for Invisalign treatment.
Step 2
If treatment is right for you, we’ll take photos,
X-rays and digital scans, or a dental impression, of your
teeth. Then we’ll create you a digital treatment plan,
using our state of the art technology, showing you what
your results could look like via a 3D video.

Step 3
We’ll give you a series of aligners to wear every day
and change at home – on average every 1-2 weeks (as
directed by your Dentist). You can comfortably wear your
aligners for 22 hours a day (the recommended daily wear).
And because they’re removable, it’s easy to maintain your
normal oral hygiene routine and enjoy your usual diet.
Step 4
We’ll invite you back to the practice around every
4-6 weeks to monitor progress and hand over your new
aligners. At the end of your treatment, you will need
to wear your retainers to maintain your new smile.

Like most people I have always been nervous around dentists until now. I don't have the best teeth in the world but everyone from the receptionist to the dentists make you feel so relaxed and welcomed. They explain everything and really understanding if your nervous or have any problems. It's just a happy caring place and I really wish more dentists were like this. I just feel safe in their hands. The Deveron Dental Centre is a five star visit at every visit. I am always made to feel super comfortable from start to finish.
